01Pricing

How much is firewood in Park City?

Firewood from Park City Firewood Co. starts at $350 per cord, delivered. The final price depends on the wood type, how much you order, where you are, whether you want it stacked, and how far we have to carry it from the truck. Call or text (435) 659-9086 for today's wood availability and delivered pricing to your address.

How much is a cord of firewood?

A full cord of our dry, seasoned firewood starts at $350. A cord is a stacked pile 4 feet high by 4 feet deep by 8 feet long, or 128 cubic feet. Piñon and oak are priced above the base rate and depend on inventory. Call or text (435) 659-9086 and we'll give you a delivered price.

Why does firewood start at $350 per cord?

Because it's dry, seasoned, full-measure and delivered. Cheap firewood is usually green, under-measured, or a mix of whatever was lying around. Our wood is cut and split evenly, dried properly, and brought to your door by a local crew. The base price covers pine delivered in our standard area; other woods, stacking and difficult access add to it. Call or text (435) 659-9086 for an exact number.

Do you sell quarter cords?

Yes. Quarter cords (about 32 cubic feet) are great for a few weekends of fires, a rental top-up, or an Old Town home with limited storage. Small orders are welcome. Call or text (435) 659-9086 for quarter-cord pricing.

Do you sell half cords?

Yes. A half cord (about 64 cubic feet) is our most popular order for Park City homes that burn regularly through the winter. Call or text (435) 659-9086 and we'll quote a half cord of whatever wood you prefer.

Can I buy multiple cords?

Absolutely. We regularly deliver two or more cords to large homes, properties with shops or guest houses, lodges and rental portfolios. Multiple-cord orders can often be split between locations and may qualify for volume pricing. Call or text (435) 659-9086 to arrange it.

02Wood Types

What kind of firewood do you have?

Pine is usually available. Piñon, aspen and oak are available periodically depending on inventory, and other varieties occasionally come through. Everything we sell is dry, seasoned, evenly cut and split. Call or text (435) 659-9086 to hear what's on the truck today.

Do you have pine?

Pine is our most consistently available firewood and the one we deliver most in Park City. It lights fast, burns bright and is the most affordable option. See our pine firewood page for details, or call or text (435) 659-9086 to order.

Do you have piñon?

Piñon is available depending on inventory and the time of year. It's prized for its aroma and beautiful flame, and it's the first thing to sell out. Call or text (435) 659-9086 to check current piñon availability.

Do you have pinion firewood?

Yes, "pinion" is the common spelling of piñon, and it's the same wood: the aromatic pine of the Southwest and southern Utah. Availability varies throughout the year. Call or text (435) 659-9086 to see what we have today.

Do you have aspen?

Aspen is available periodically. It's a clean-burning, easy-lighting Utah mountain wood and a good value when properly seasoned. Call or text (435) 659-9086 for current aspen availability.

Do you have oak?

Oak is available periodically. It's the long-burning, high-heat choice for wood stoves and cold nights, and it goes quickly when we have it. Call or text (435) 659-9086 for current oak availability.

03Choosing Wood

Which firewood burns longest?

Oak. Properly seasoned oak is dense, burns slowly and leaves a long-lasting bed of coals, so you reload less often. Piñon burns longer than pine or aspen but not as long as oak. Our firewood comparison page lays this out side by side.

Which wood smells best?

Piñon, by a wide margin. Its sweet, resinous aroma is the signature smell of a Southwest fire and the reason people ask for it by name. Pine has a pleasant scent too; aspen and oak are mild.

Is piñon better than pine?

It depends on what you want. Piñon smells incredible, burns a bit longer and makes for a more memorable fire, but it costs more and isn't always available. Pine is cheaper, lights faster and is almost always in stock. For an everyday fire, pine. For a dinner party or a night on the patio, piñon.

Is oak better than pine?

For heat and burn time, yes. Oak burns hotter and far longer, which makes it the better wood-stove fuel and the better choice for long cold evenings. Pine lights much more easily and costs less. Many customers use both: start the fire with pine, then add oak once it's established.

Is aspen good firewood?

When it's properly seasoned, aspen is good everyday firewood. It lights easily, burns clean with little smoke and mixes well with other woods. It won't burn as long or as hot as oak, so it's best for recreational fires, cabins and fire pits rather than heating a whole house.

What's the best firewood for a Park City fireplace?

For most Park City fireplaces, pine is the practical everyday choice and oak is the upgrade for long evenings. If ambiance matters, piñon is the one guests remember. A mixed load of pine for starting plus oak or piñon for the main burn is what we recommend most often.

What's the best firewood for a fire pit?

Piñon is the fire-pit favorite for its aroma and crackle. Pine is a close second for its easy lighting and lively flame, and it's more affordable. Either way, dry seasoned wood is the key to a fire pit that lights quickly and doesn't smoke out your guests.

What's best for a wood stove?

Oak. Its density, long burn and steady heat make it the ideal wood-stove fuel, especially overnight. Keep some pine on hand for kindling and easy starts. Read our oak firewood guide for more.

04Quality

Do you have dry firewood?

Yes. Dry firewood is the whole point. Every load we deliver is seasoned and ready to burn, not fresh-cut wood that hisses and smolders.

Is your wood seasoned?

Yes. Our firewood is seasoned and dried before delivery so it lights easily, burns hot and keeps your chimney cleaner. If you ever get a piece that doesn't seem right, tell us and we'll make it right.

Is your firewood green?

No. We don't sell green wood or junk wood. Green firewood is heavy, hard to light, smoky and produces far less heat because the fire spends its energy boiling off water. Everything we deliver is seasoned, evenly cut and split.

05Delivery

Do you deliver?

Yes, delivery is what we do. We bring dry, seasoned firewood to homes throughout Park City and the Wasatch Back year-round, with driveway drop, garage delivery, wood-rack delivery and professional stacking available.

How fast can you deliver?

Delivery is often available within a couple of days, and next-day delivery is available in many cases depending on inventory and the schedule. Call or text (435) 659-9086 and we'll tell you the soonest day we can be there.

Do you offer next-day delivery?

Often, yes. Next-day delivery may be available depending on inventory and our route that day. We can't guarantee it, but we'll tell you honestly when you call or text. Need firewood tomorrow? Call or text (435) 659-9086 to check next-day availability.

06Stacking

Do you stack firewood?

Yes. Professional stacking is available on any order. We'll put it in the garage, on your wood rack, in a shed, on a patio or deck, or wherever you'd like it, stacked neatly so it stays dry and looks good.

How much does stacking cost?

Stacking is priced per job based on the amount of wood, the distance from the truck, stairs, elevation changes, access and snow conditions. A garage right off the driveway costs less than a rack up two flights behind the house. Call or text (435) 659-9086 for delivery plus stacking pricing.
